Even though I enjoyed this movie, I did leave the theater with this one small thought:
Srsly why didn’t Michael Caine just fly the kids to France?!
I’m just still pissed Cillian Murphy was cast as Scarecrow in Batman and I wasn’t! I mean come on… he doesn’t even have straw for hair!

Because the kids are in the custody of Mal’s mom who is angry with Cobb. Michael Caine is Mal’s father and the ex husband of the mother who has custody of the kids. He would have to kidnap them and then he to would be a fugitive, if he could even get them out of the country without getting caught.
