Ah, here it comes, my look at all things on this thing called the internet. Yup, I’m going there. Care to join me? Haha too bad.

In the digital age, if anyone still calls it that, more and more people are looking for some virtual satisfaction. While networking websites and even sites that promote extra-relationship-al (read: affairs) have become prevalent, the draw of not even meeting face to face comes up.

With that in mind this week, we’re taking a look at the Perils of Internet Dating and its cousin Hot Freaky Robot Sex.

The invention of the internet has opened the doors to people being able to get it on all over the world. Since people are no longer strictly tied to the bars and local scene, long distance relationships have started to flourish in commonality bolstered by the ease of communication provided by instant messaging, email, and even recently Twitter.

All the rampant internet sexing holds in and of itself few of the dangers that rampant physical sexing does. There’s little to worry about unwanted pregnancies, STDs, or even the messy clean-up afterwards if you keep your hands above borders.

The dangers of internet dating, or at least internet sex is simply in that you place a lot of faith in your partner or partners as the case may be. Not only is there trust in that everyone is who they say they are, but that the connection will stay steady. Not the physical connection, but the internet one which is much easier to break than excusing yourself from an uncomfortable physical situation.
