Zombieland, the movie that everyone seems to be talking about.
If you enjoyed “Shaun of the Dead” I think you’ll like this one. The movie takes place in a post-apocolyptic world where the majority of the population are zombies. The beginning starts off with Columbus (Jesse Eisenberg) and how he has survived in Zombieland according to his “rules.” These rules are displayed throughout the movie in a very creative and quite beautiful typography way. Tallahassee (Woody Harrelson) is introduced to Columbus’s character and the movies goes into other characters (Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin) as well. There really is no plot to this movie but that doesn’t mean that you wont be entertained the whole time. This movie has gotten nothing but fantastic reviews and I highly recommend it. There is also a lot of talk of “one of the best cameos of all time” and yes, it is quite brilliant. Zombieland is only an hour and 20 minutes but it seems a lot longer, they have a great way of keeping you entertained and constantly moving the characters into new situations. This movie is worth the ticket soda, and popcorn.

I loved Zombieland. The humor and style is what won me over. The writers and director didn’t push things too far, so the characters stayed just inside the scope of plausibility while being their own quirky selves. Two of the actors could have been replaced with anyone and it would have been the same movie. They didn’t personalize their roles at all, though their lines were far more literal and directed at moving things forward. The cameo was meh for me. I didn’t see it coming, but I felt that such talent was a little ill-used. It left me a little…”tender”…considering I’m a big fan of [person who did the cameo appearance].
    5/5 stars

  2. Gah I need to see this!
